Have had a balanced weekend. Some time alone, some time with friends. That, for me, is ideal.

I already cannot recall Friday evening. I know I didn't hire out a dvd and eat popcorn, wrapped in a blanket in front of the TV as I often do after a week of work.

Saturday morning began earlier than most, with an optometrist appointment. I could, if I like, get "casual" glasses, as opposed to full time glasses, whereby I would only wear them when I really need them, for example when driving and unable to read distant street signs. I could also leave it and hope my eyes don't further deteriorate. They are in pretty good condition at the moment.

I spent the rest of Saturday morning spending time with myself.

On Saturday afternoon, I went to my sister's place to help her do some paint prints of my 10 week old niece's feet. My niece did not enjoy the experience.

In the early part of Saturday evening, I played a verbal story game with my brother and his girlfriend, until a friend picked me up and we, himself and myself, his best friend and girlfriend, travelled into the city to an exquisite hotel with a Piano Bar and we sat around a grand piano and listened to some live music. It was a relaxing, unique and enjoyable evening.

Today I got up at around 10.30am and made myself some breakfast. I took this to bed with me, played on my laptop for a bit, and then went back to sleep. I got out of bed again at around 12.30pm. I had lunch with my family at around 1.30pm and had a shower shortly after this. I didn't get dressed following my shower. I fell asleep again, and woke up at about 4.30pm to get dressed.

I went to church this evening and enjoyed a meal with my church family there.

Now comes the time for the weekly room clean. Honestly, it hasn't accumulated as much mess as it usually has by this stage of the week.

I may make myself a cup of tea and read a few chapters of a book once my room is clean. I may throw some paint onto this ever changing canvas on my floor. I may then shower, tuck myself in bed, and welcome another week.
